How do I become a client?
Individuals may come to our office during our operating hours on a first-come, first-served basis. An intake fee is established depending on what program you need. Your ongoing session fee will be set during your intake.
How much does counseling cost?
Each counseling service or group session has a set cost. For those who qualify, we have a sliding-scale, which means we will ask you about your household income and financial resouces. We try to make a fee that makes counseling accessible to everyone.
Do you accept Medi-cal or Insurance?
No at WACCC we do not accept Medi-Cal or Insurance. We try to work with anyone who needs services. We provide assistance for those who qualify to apply for victims of crime .
How long is the wait before I can see a counselor?
We do not have a waiting list. You can been seen as soon as soon as a time has been set that is convenient for you and your therapist.
Will I be seen by a licensed therapist?
We have licensed therapist that are available to those who are mandated to see a licensed mental health professional. However, most of our therapists are students/interns who are training to become a licensed therapist. We have some staff that are paraprofessionals, which means they have not attended a graduate degree program in marriage and family therapy. However, they have received credentials in areas they are designated within their scope. All counselors are carefully selected and diligently trained to work with a variety of psychological, emotional and relationship concerns.
The court has ordered me to counseling. Will you provide reports to my social worker or probation officer?
Yes, we will gladly provide progress letters and records of attendance after you provide your written consent.
